Lotuses and the moon are my favorite motifs. In this composition I wanted to feature their reflections upon the water. While visiting a lotus pond for references, I noticed that oftentimes the tall lotus leaves cast surprising reflections, often they appear at a great distance from the actual plant and when the wind blows, the leaves and their reflection all seem to dance together along with the rippling water. In this piece I focused on the reflections and the moon dancing upon the wind-touched waters as a breeze sweeps through the lotus leaves.
