I have a large painting from Bali that I hung on my living room wall and it amused me to think of it as a window opening out into a tropical, Balinese forest. One tiring day, I wound up falling asleep on the sofa beneath the painting and, as luck would have it, I dreamt about Bali. In my dream a full moon bathed everything in mysterious light and, as I slept, butterflies and leaves began to spill from the painting out into the world around me, blurring the boundaries between my dreams and reality.
