It was winter when I was facing the decision to start off a new career and open my art business. Naturally, I was struggling with the choice and felt both hopeful and anxious about what it could bring for my future. Then, out on a walk, I noticed a Japanese zelkova. The elm tree had created such a beautiful, fantastical silhouette against the darkening skyline and it resonated with something within me. As I gazed at it, and darkness continued to fall, I felt encouragement root in my soul and decided to go forward with courage in pursuit of my dreams.
