After arriving in Paris, jet lag stirred me awake at 4:00 a.m. In the still darkness, gazing out of my hotel window, I felt the profound weight of solitude settle around me, standing alone in this unfamiliar land. Then, I noticed a solitary light glowing in a distant apartment. The warmth of that light offered a gentle, silent comfort, softening my heart as if whispering that we are, none of us, ever truly alone. Upon returning to Japan, I recreated this moment, incorporating an image of a lone figure traversing an empty street, mirroring my emotions, letting them echo upon the empty streets as the solitary traveler follows their journey, solitary but never truly alone.
