I faced a difficult time after beginning my own business and these struggles and frustrations often impacted my sleep. One morning I woke up very early, a sense of impatience and isolation filling me, and I chanced to look out my window. Though there was only the faintest of light in the pre-dawn sky, my view showed a world full of people who were already starting their day. It made me realize how many people supported businesses like my own, and that one day my efforts would bear fruit and I was not alone. This piece was painted in that spirit of those days.
