A photograph of a majestic red maple inspired me for its brilliant color and unique perspective. Taken all but looking straight up from the very base of the tree, to me it gave the maple an almost humanistic presence – as if a flame-crowned queen stood watch over the woodlands. The wind in her leaves creates music which charms the woodland creatures while they gather together as her court.
